A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Pamela Johnson, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the age of 77 after a short illness.
Pam was born Sept. 19, 1946, in Bloomsburg, to the late Hurley Powlus and Frances Powlus-Kemp. She was married to her husband of 57 years, Edward Johnson, and raised three children, Betsy, Wendy and Jim, in a happy and loving home. She was grandmother to Cody Johnson (22), Lucas (21), Noah (19), and Madison (19) Wall. She was a sister to Dean Powlus and Kay Mason.
Pam was known for her hearty laugh and kind heart and will be dearly missed. She had a love for the Lord and used her gifts to serve special needs kids with horse and wagon rides at the Benton rodeo for many years. People knew her for baking cakes and her home cooking. She had a love for gardening and accompanied her husband on countless hunting trips.
Friends and family are invited to say a final farewell to Pam at The Christian Gospel Fellowship, 2938 State Route 42 (Iola), Millville, on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to noon, with services beginning at noon.
Family and friends may send online condolences to bunnellfuneralhome.com. The Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., Millville is handling arrangements.
