Paul D. Shaffer

Paul D. Shaffer, 78, of Orangeville, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Orangeville Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 5, 1935 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late David and Florence Chrisman Shaffer. Paul attended Millertown Schools. He worked at the Benton Foundry. He enjoyed Baseball. He was preceded in death by a daughter Karen Shaffer and two brothers Frank and John Shaffer. He is survived by his wife the former Nancy Ruckle with whom he married February 24, 1968 and two sons Randy Ruckle and his wife Nancy of Millville, Richard Shaffer and his companion Regina Mackert of Bloomsburg, four daughters Paulette Hemberger of Canada, Brenda and her husband Thomas Mordan of Bloomsburg, Tammy and her husband Frances Perrella of Dunmore and Cindy and her husband Dale Readler Nescopeck and thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, a brother Fred Shaffer and his wife Pearl of Catawissa and a sister Mary and her husband Sunny Swisher of Bloomsburg. Services will be Monday at 11:00 am at Bunnell Funeral Home, Inc. 179 E. Main St. Millville, with Pastor Mark Stoker officiating. Burial will be at Elan Memorial Park.
