Paul F Shultz

Paul F. Shultz passed away peacefully November 7, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born February 2, 1933, at his family’s farm in Madison Township, a son of the late Melvin and Mary Blee (Wintersteen) Shultz.

He graduated from Millville High School class of 1950. Paul was a division manager and salesman at Sear’s Roebuck and Co. for 37 years, retiring in 1992. Then he worked for Columbia County as a Sealer of Weights and Measures for 12 years retiring in 2006.

Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, playing cards, throwing parties, and growing corn for all his family and friends. He especially enjoyed playing baseball, serving as player and manager for Jerseytown Baseball team in the North Branch League. He loved to go out for breakfast on Fridays with his friends. He was a lifetime member of Bloomsburg Elks, member of Danville Moose, and past member of Greenwood Hunting Camp, serving as treasurer for 33 years.

Paul is survived by six children: Debbie Shultz, Paula Renz husband Rick, Glenda Johnson husband Scott, Dale Shultz wife Denise, Allen Shultz, Mark Shultz wife Shonny, daughter-in-law Cathy Shultz, and 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. As well as his wife the former Joan (Renner) Shultz and her kids; Steve Renner wife Juliet, Scott Renner wife Karen, Todd Renner wife Reni, Terry Renner wife Kim, 11 grandchildren, eight grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife Marcie Shultz who passed in 2007, and son Carl Shultz who passed in 2017, daughter-in-law Chris Shultz who passed in 2010, and five siblings. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Services will be Wednesday November 9, 2022, at 11:00 am at Christian Gospel Fellowship, 2938 PA-42, Millville, PA 17846 with his Pastor Paul Converse officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Jerseytown Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9:00 am until time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Paul’s memory may be sent to the Christian Gospel Fellowship Church.
