Pauline E. (Parks) Kreischer, 89, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born March 7, 1936, in her Grandmother’s house in Benton. She is the daughter of the late John and Pearl (Lockard) Parks.
She attended Benton schools and started work at Milco in Berwick, retiring after 25 years. Looking for a change she became a CNA at the Millville Nursing Home for an additional 28 years. Pauline was known for her sweet, caring nature and always a good one to tell a story.
Through both daughters’ younger years showing horses - Pauline became a “horse show mom” to all the other 4-H kids as well and was best known for her famous Chicken Corn Soup.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Autumn (Kreischer) Whitted, companion Mike Hall; her grandson, Landon, along with Mike’s son, Thor; three brothers: Melvin Parks, wife, Carol, of Orangeville, Bruce Parks, wife, Pat, of Orangeville, Edwin “Skeeter” Parks, wife, Lydia, of Kissimmee, Florida; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; her grandsons being her pride and joy.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; as well as her husband; William J. Kreischer; who passed away on Aug. 26, 2017; her daughter, Darla (Traver) Shick ,who passed away on June 7, 2018; a brother, Glenn Parks; and most recently, her sister, the Rev. Gloria Kremer.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Jerseytown Cemetery with Pastor Robert Strozyk officiating. Family will receive friends Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville.
