Rebecca J DeWald

Rebecca J. DeWald, 87, of Danville passed away on Saturday September 7, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 16, 1936, in Limestoneville, a daughter of the late Russell L. and Margaret (Kingston) Reese.

She graduated from Millville High School class of 1955. Rebecca loved to cook, she would make a cake for anyone’s birthday or anniversary. She enjoyed taking pictures, animals, and taking care of her husband and children.

Rebecca is survived by her husband James R. DeWald, whom she married September 20, 1957, two daughters: Debra Shires husband Sam of Danville, Ruby Stump of Danville, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and sister Clara Smith husband Harry of Missouri.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents as well as her three brothers: Sydney, Hurley, and Fred Reese.

Services will be at the convenience of the family at Whitehall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Rebecca’s memory may be sent to Danville SPCA, 1467 Bloom Rd, Danville, PA 17821.
