Richard "Pete" L Beachel

Richard "Pete" L. Beachel Sr., 88, of Turbotville, passed away Thursday December 22, 2022, at Rollings Hills Manor. He was born March 30, 1944, in Strawberry Ridge, a son of the late Paul and Jeanette (Long) Beachel.

He graduated from High School and owned his own excavation company. When he was excavating you could find Richard out farming, and if he wasn’t farming, he was out riding his motorcycle. Richard was a wife of Pleasant View Wesleyan Church of Muncy for 54 years.

Richard is survived by his wife the former Rachel Thomas, son Richard L. Beachel Jr. of Turbotville, two grandchildren; Felicity Beachel of Catawissa, Noah Beachel of Turbotville, and brother David W. Beachel wife Linda of Danville.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Paul Grant Beachel Jr. who passed away in December 1964.

A celebration of life will be held January 14, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Pleasant View Westley Church, 994 E. Penn St., Muncy with her Pastor Stephen Smith officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends from 10:00 until time of service at the church.
