Robert H DeMott Sr.

Robert H. DeMott Sr. 87 of Millville died Tuesday November 2, 2010 at Grandview Health Homes Danville. Born May 10, 1923 in Jerseytown, a son of the late Jay and Mabel (Derr) DeMott. A graduate of Bloomsburg High School 1941 and attended Bloomsburg Teachers College. He owned and operated Eyers Grove Mill for over 50yrs. He was a former Millville school board member. A member of the Millville American Legion Arthur Bardo Post 564, he was also a member of the Eyersgrove United Methodist Church where he was a former superintend of Sunday school. A former member of the Bloomsburg Elks, Moose and Masonic Lodge. Also a former member of the Shriners of Dallas. A veteran of WWII serving in the Air Force as a pilot and first Lt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons. Robert H. Jr and Douglas DeMott, a brother Harold DeMott and a sister Frances Smith Rubendall. He is survived by his wife of 63yrs the former Vera (Hons) DeMott. Two sons Jeff DeMott of Benton and Greg DeMott of Williamsport. Five daughters Sandy Wallingford and husband Steve of Leesburg Virginia, Connie Wright and her husband Frank of East Norriton Pa., Diane Thompson of Williamsport Pa., Debbie Reese and her husband Jeff of Millville, Holly DeMott of Millville. Ten grand children and fifteen great-grand children a sister Dorothy Reichart of LightStreet Pa. Services will be Friday at 2.00 P.M. at Bunnell Funeral Home Inc. 179 E. Main St. Millville Pa., with the Rev. Allan Acor officiating. Burial will be at Millville Cemetery. Friends may call from 1.00 P.M. till time of service. In lieu of flowers donations to American Cancer Society or Geisinger Hospice
