Robert Earl Mills

Robert Earl Mills 98, of Bloomsburg, went to be with the Lord, Thursday May 23, 2024, at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital,

He was born, April 29, 1926, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Earl and Veda Pearl (Swartz) Mills. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, three sons, James Irvin, Robert Edward, and Jay Sabastain, granddaughter Ashley, two great great grandchildren, and five siblings,  Ackley, George “Brit”, Lewis “Dyke”, Richard “Dick”, and Pauline.

Robert graduated from Millville Highschool and worked for Danville State Hospital for 30 years retiring in 1988. Robert enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox, golf, he especially enjoyed hunting. Most of all he loved spending time with his large family.

Robert is survived by his wife, the former Harriet Mae (Ball) Mills whom he married February 21, 1948, three children George Blaine Mills of Bloomsburg, Richard Allen Mills of Bloomsburg, and Gail Christine Pursel of Millville, nine grandchildren, Bill, Brian, Brad, Robbie, Erin, Elyse, Jenn, Jess, and Myriah, 20 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, and sister Leatrice Watts of Millville.

Graveside services will be at the convenience of the family at Millville Cemetery.
