Robert J Hawk

Robert J. Hawk, 86, of Bloomsburg passed away Monday June 6, 2022 at his residence. He was born September 28, 1935 in Bloomsburg a son of the late Ralph and Florence Saffer Hawk.

He attended Bloomsburg School and then joined the United States Army where he received the Presidential Guard award. Robert enjoyed going golfing, hunting, fishing, a “good can of coors light”, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Bloomsburg American Legion #237, Bloomsburg VFW Post 804, and Bloomsburg Elks Lodge #436.

Robert is survived by his wife the former Jean Lawton, whom he married June 25, 1958, two sons; Robert J. Hawk II. Of Bloomsburg, Alan Scott Hawk wife Debbie of Tipson, CO, four grandchildren; Abbie, Alan Jr, Chrissy, Gavin, four great-grandchildren; Lilly, Sierra, Wesley, Brooklyn, and brother Ralph Hawk Jr. of Orangeville and a sister Betty Klinger of cattawissa.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 am at the Rodger T. Bunnell Funeral Home, 435 Market St., Bloomsburg with Pastor Eric Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
