Ronald W. Gosciminski, 69, of Bloomsburg, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at his residences surrounded by his family. He was born March 28, 1942 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Walter and Bernice Rogers Gosciminski. Ron graduated from Catawissa High School in 1961. After graduating he joined the United States Air Force, were he served from 1961 until 1965. During his time of service, he was stationed at S.A.C. Air Force Command in Oscota, Michigan. He also worked in the numeric of the B-52 bomber, he served in the Korean Conflict and in Denang, Vietnam, and he also worked on the F-104 fighters. After his time in the service Ron worked at the Cigar Factory, US Steel both of Berwick, US Radium Plant, Kennedy Van Saun "KVS", Wise Borden and he retired from the Danville State Hospital as a Master Machinist. Ron enjoyed riding Harley Davison motorcycles, he was an accomplished bench shooter, and he also enjoyed remote control planes, fishing and hunting. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge F+M Lodge 265 and Caldwell Consistory. Ron was active in the Boy Scouts Troup 21; he helped coach minor league baseball in Bloomsburg. He was preceded in death by a sister Ellen Gosciminski. Ron is survived by his wife the former Jeri G. Fritz, with whom he married July 9, 1966, a son Ronald W. Gosciminski Jr. and his companion Melissa Eisenhour of Shamokin, a daughter Pamela and her husband Juan Moreno of Berwick and a grandson Mitchell Levan, two brothers Walter Gosciminski and Conrad Gosciminski both of Catawissa and three sisters Carol and her husband Greg Golembiski of Cleveland, OH, Susan Gosciminski of Catawissa and Beatrice McCabe of Berwick and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
