Ross M Earnest

Ross M. Earnest 86, of Unityville, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday August 22, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center Danville. He was born March 9, 1937, in Millville, a son of the late William M. and Irene Sarah (Heller) Earnest. 

Ross attended Millville Schools, and then joined the United States Army in 1955. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. Ross was a member of the Arthur Bardo Post 564 Millville Legion, Unityville Volunteer Fire Company, and the Danville Moose. Ross enjoyed watching baseball, hunting, tractor pulls, and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports. 

Ross is survived by his wife the former Sonia Mae Steinruck whom he married on September 26, 1959, three children; Janet Livermore and her husband Daniel of Unityville, Wayne Earnest and his wife Beth of Unityville, and Ronnie Earnest and his companion Deborah Demblowski of Millville, nine grandchildren; Royce Eyer, Matt Eyer, Ashley Price, Michael Earnest, Rachel Gordner, Amber Earnest, Mathew Shoup, Sierra Earnest, and David Earnest, and twelve great-grandchildren. As well as four brothers; Carlos (Ray) Earnest of Myrtle Beach, Albert (Hap) Earnest and his wife Lois, Marlin (Pug) Earnest, and Gorman (Gum) Earnest all of Millville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Wayne and Martin Earnest

Services will be Monday August 28, 2023, at 11:00amat the Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 East Main Street Millville Pa. 17846, with Rev Robert Strozyk officiating. Burial will follow at Gordner’s Cemetery, on Gordner’s Road Unityville. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
