Ruth A (Sharrow) Mengine

Ruth A. Mengine, 76, of Bloomsburg, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at her home. She was born February 9, 1935, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Earl C. Sharrow and Pearl M. John Sharrow Ortwine. She attended Bloomsburg Schools. She was last employed by the Bloomsburg Hospital for twenty eight years as a Nursing Assistant. She loved playing bingo and doing crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years John A. Mengine, and a brother Carl Sharrow. She is survived by a son Michael Mengine, and three daughters Patricia Mengine, Theresa and her husband John Yocum, and Donna Mengine all of Bloomsburg, and Linda and her husband Albert Kessler of Bloomsburg who Ruth considered as her fourth daughter, two sisters Virginia and her husband Harold Utt of Stony Brook Circle, and Rose and her husband Steven Jacka of Millville and three nieces and six nephews. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at Elan Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Allen Acor officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rodger T. Bunnell Funeral Home, 435 Market St., Bloomsburg, Pa 17815. Friends unable to attend may send condolences to bunnellfuneralhome.com.
