Ruth (Klein) Metzger

Ruth Metzger 65, of Millville, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Ruth was born, June 16, 1956, in Bristol, a daughter of the late Walter J. and Geraldine (Mangam) Klein.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands: Gary Metzger and Kevin Garr; a brother, Walter Klein; and sister in-law, Faye L. Klein.

She was a graduate of Dalhaas High School. She worked in the bakery at Giant in Bloomsburg for over 30 years. She enjoyed, boating, fishing, camping, was a die hard Eagles fan. She also enjoyed NASCAR, spending time with her lifetime friend, Roxanne Beerhalter, and especially spending time with family.

Ruth is survived by her four children: Penny Kolk and her husband, Ronald Chapman, Tammy Kolk, both of Millville, Andrew Kolk and his wife, Kayleen, of Blackriver N.Y., and David Kolk and his wife, Amber, of Orangeville; five grandchildren: Dylan, Kodi, Brianna, Bryce, and Tymir; also three siblings: William Klein and his wife, Sue, Steven Klein and his wife, Lisa both of Muncy, and Jane Smith and her husband, Sean, of Langhorne.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, at 3 p.m. at Mill-Green United Methodist Church, 75 S. State St., Millville, with Pastor Robert Stroyzk officiating.
