Ruth (Rishel) Watson

Ruth Watson, 87, of Turbotville (White Hall), passed away March 31, 2011 at her home after a short illness. She was lovingly attended by family caregivers. She was born March 2, 1924 in Madison Township, a daughter of the late George and Susan Hartraft Rishel. She graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1941 and was a member of the Jerseytown Methodist Church. She was employed by Girton Manufacturing in the accounting department for 30 years. After retirement she traveled to many countries including England, France, Italy, Ireland, Australia, Hawaii and Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen Watson who passed away in 1986 and a son Dennis who passed away in Viet Nam in 1969 and two sisters Arlene Harner, Ethel Holdren and a brother Donald Rishel. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be Monday at 11:00 am at Jerseytown Methodist Church 13 White Hall Rd. Bloomsburg, Pa, 17815 with her Pastor Paul Dauenbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Jerseytown Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
