Sadie A. (Mordan) Kindt

Sadie A. Kindt, 98, of 519 State St. Millville, passed away Friday December 21, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. She was born June 26, 1914 in Mordansville, a daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth Hilliard Mordan. She was raised in Mt. Pleasant Township near Mordansville and spent the first fifty years in the same area, later moving to Bloomsburg. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, friend and an excellent cook. Sadie enjoyed crocheting afghans, Christmas stockings, baby blankets, and sweaters. She was a lifelong member of Canby Lutheran Church, Millertown. She also attended Ridge Street United Methodist Church and Millville Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude J. Kindt in 2002, three brothers Claude, Donald, and Daniel Mordan Jr., and also a daughter Joanne in 1944. She is survived by two daughters Gale and her husband Bob Nichols of Bloomsburg, Carol and her husband Michael Harrison of Delaware, and a son Jack and wife Sharon Kindt of Millville. One sister, Millie and her husband Harvey Peterman of Millville. Ten grandchildren Robert Nichols Jr., Sherry Nichols Merrill, Danny Nichols, Terry Nichols, Christine Lane, Michael Harrison II, Elizabeth Kindt, Megan Kindt Hippenstiel, Bradley Kindt, and Rachel Kindt; 15 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 at the Canby Lutheran Church Millertown Road with Pastor Richard Plocinski of the Millville Christian Church officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 until time of service. Friends unable to attend may send condolences at bunnellfuneralhome.com.
