Shirley A. Farlow, 72, of Bloomsburg passed away Tuesday November 15, 2022, at Glenbrook Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born August 20, 1950, in Pine Summit, a daughter of the late William Arthur and Irma Marie (Musselman) Avery.
She graduated from Hughesville High School class of 1969. She worked at PNC, as a bank teller. She was a member of Pine Summit United Methodist Church and a former member of Lions Club. Shirley was a taxi service for her grandchildren. You could find her at all of their sporting events. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, doing crossword puzzles, but most of all spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband on many trips.
Shirley is survived by her husband Harry R. Farlow, whom she married July 15, 2001, two children; Dennis Charles Jr. wife Carrie of Millville, Tine Stere husband Jayson of Bloomsburg, stepson Richard Farlow of Hanover, and four granddaughters; Hannah and Natalie Stere and Madeline and Carlee Charles. She is also survived by her last aunt, Lucille “Doris” Long of Pine Summit.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents as well as her stepmother Helen Avery, and five siblings; William A. Avery III., Robert Avery, Ray Avery, Darlene “Dollie” Sellers, and Marie “Peachy” Reynolds.
Services will be Wednesday November 23, 2022, at 11:00 am, from the Bunnell Funeral Home Inc. 179 E. Main St. Millville Pa, 17846, with Pastor Mark Messner officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am, until time of service at the funeral home.
