Obituary

William F. Snyder, 80, of Bloomsburg passed away Tuesday April 5, 2022 at Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital. He was born December 9, 1941 in Turbotville, a son of the late William and Althea (Hurst) Snyder.

He proudly served in the US Army on the 385 Military Police Battalion in Germany for 4 years in 1960.  He worked at Kennedy Van Saun, Cabinet Industries, Valley Volkes Wagon, retiring from Jack Metzgers Auto Group.

He was a lifelong honorary member of the Friendship Fire Company in Danville.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting.  His kindness and gentle nature will be missed by all who knew him.

William is survived by his daughter Penny Lee Hertzog of Danville, two grandchildren, and six sisters; Shirley Masser of Washingtonville, Betty Young husband Dale of Millville, Lesha Taylor husband Fred of Bloomsburg, Peggy Shultz husband Leonard of Catawissa, Patty Kreisher husband Russell of Millville and Tina Long of Millville.

In addiition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Strouse whom he was married for 43 years, as well as two brothers Jim and Johnny Snyder.
