Wilson J. Broadt Jr. of Millville, passed away at Grandview Nursing and Rehab on September 11, 2024. He was born February 13, 1953, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Wilson J Broadt Sr and Mary Ellen (Houseknecht) Broadt.
He attended Bloomsburg High School graduating in 1971 and worked for Girton Manufacturing in Millville where he was Plant Supervisor until his retirement. In Wilson’s younger years he loved to take cruises to the Caribbeans, St. Thomas, Jan Juan, St. Crux, St. Martin, and Dutch West Indies. He enjoyed watching the wildlife in his yard, watching western movies especially John Wayne, which is what his mother loved to watch, watching Penn State Football, Nascar Racing, Pro Football, and other sport related activities. He loved playing cards with his family and friends. Wilson was a life member of Espy Fire Co. where he was past president, member of the Danville Moose Lodge #1113 since 1979, and a life member of the NRA.
Wilson is survived by his sister Bonnie and husband James Ulshafer of Bloomsburg, nephew Bryan Shreck, two great-nephews Deondre and Jordan McNeill, his dog OFFY, and his loving and caring neighbors who always watched out for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a sister Susan (Susie) Shreck.
Services will be Wednesday September 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rodger T. Bunnell Funeral Home, 435 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Pastor Joel Zeiders officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of services.
